John Abraham, Vidya Balan together in a new film but denied from Bipasha

Bollywood3000: Mumbai - If film-maker Priyadarshan has his way, then soon you might get to see actors John Abraham and Vidya Balan sizzling on-screen once again. The duo was last seen together in the movie Salaam-E-Ishq in 2007.
While its filming was in process, rumours of an affair between them started doing the rounds. This, in turn, apparently led to a lot of discord in John’s relationship with girlfriend Bipasha Basu. Post that, John and Vidya have never done a movie together.
However, now film-maker Priyadarshan is apparently playing peacemaker to break the ice between John and Vidya. He is trying to woo them for a movie.

A source says, “Priyadarshan has had meetings with Vidya and has informed her about the project. Looks like it will be another comedy caper. He also likes John’s acting ability and feels he has one of the best comic timings in the industry.

So Priyadarshan is doing all he can to bring a truce between John and Vidya. Getting both John and Vidya on for a project is a mighty task as they don’t really work with each other anymore. But now that a few years have passed by since rumours of an affair between John and Vidya, and John and Bipasha’s relationship is very stable, the project may finally take off.”

Aishwarya Rai, Vidya, Rani and Mallika- Bollywood Hot and Top kisses actresses!

Bollywood is now bold enough to show co-stars locking lips and doing those dare-to-bare scenes. While, we can never have enough of these, let’s look at some of the most memorable steamy lip locks of the 21st century Bollywood:
1. Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan- The two ultimate Czar and Czarina of Bollywood sealed their lips in a mushy moment in ‘Dhoom 2’. That full French kiss was the most passionate one Ash has delivered till date (and she hasn’t done any other hard core French kisses)
2. Mallika Sherawat and Emraan Hashmi- ‘Murder’ was one of the benchmark movies of the decade as it pioneered the kissing and bold culture. Surely, the wet liplocks of the two hotties in barely-there clothes is still viewed by the spectators with delight and water in their mouths.
3. Amitabh Bachchan and Rani Mukherjee- The subtle and very aesthetically-done kiss between Rani Mukherjee (who played a blind, mute and deaf Helen Keller) and her teacher Amitabh Bachchan was one of the touching and moving moments of Bollywood as it gave a purely holy feel of a kiss that made Rani’s character realize her feminine instincts.
4. Vidya Balan and Madhavan- The purity and surreal feel of the chaste and unblemished kiss between Vidya and Madhavan in that rainy scene in ‘Guru’ was one of the high points of the film. It brought tears into many eyes and remains one of the best-shot kiss scenes of Bollywood.
5. Mallika Sherawat and Himanshu- ‘Khwaish’ set the records when it dished out 17 smooches between the lead hotties in a story loosely based on Eric Sehgal’s ‘Love Story’.
Which is your most memorable Bollywood kiss? Don’t keep your lips locked and feel free to post your comments!

Aishwarya Rai, Kareena Kapoor, Mallika Sherawat, Priyanka Chopra, Vidya Balan - Top five fashion disasters

Most celebs in Bollywood have an inherent style of fashion. Added to this, they get the help of their designer friends and thus turns out to be well dressed for the most time. However, there are some stars who sometimes have a bad style day and thus go horribly wrong at times. There have been fashion disasters of Bollywood stars in films as well as in real life. Below here is presented top five fashion disasters of Bollywood actresses.
Vidya Balan was heavily criticised for her look in Hey Baby. She donned Western dresses which did not suit her body at all. She looked uncomfortable in them and the wig was horrible too. The only time she looked good was in the song’Dil Ka Mamla’where she wore a red sari.

After being criticised horribly, good sense prevailed on Vidya. She lost weight, hired a new designer and thereafter wore clothes that suited her body type.
Even though Aishwarya Rai has a good sense of style, she, too, has not been free from clutches of fashion disaster. She wore a gown meets sari in Cannes. Her hairstyle resembled like a bird’s nest and fashion pundits was surprised how a beauty queen could don such horrendous outfit.
Recently, in another public appearance she donned a shocking pink churidaar. It almost hurted our eyes and almost made us cringe with shock.
Sari is one of the most sensuous outfits that we have ever seen. A woman with a good body can look extremely sexy in them and it does more than just highlighting the curves. When Priyanka Chopra donned a white sari for an event abroad, we felt as if she had massacred it. She wore it in a way that killed the sensuality of the garment and we wonder why the usually fashionable Miss Chopra made such a fashion disaster.

It can be easily said that Mallika Sherawat has an outrageous sense of fashion. The kind of dress she keeps wearing at international events needs a certain amount of desperation and shamelessness .Flaunting skin when you have a good body is fine, but wearing eye popping outfits often drives us nuts.

When Kareena Kapoor went to Udaipur promoting Love Aj Kal, she donned a pink top and grey tracksuit. While the top was still ok, the pant was the ultimate fashion disaster. It highlighted her bulge and made the legs look extremely fat.

Vidya Balan, Kajol, Rani Mukherjee, Konkona Sensharma, Prachi Desai: Excellent Wear In India!

The obsession for fitness has reached alarming proportions today in Bollywood. Both actors and actresses today are supposed to have perfect body and tongues star wagging if they put on a little fat on their body. However, even in this age where survival of the fittest is taken to be both literally and figuratively, there are actresses who refuse to be part of this unhealthy race of size zero.
We present here five beautiful actresses who do not have and neither want to have a size zero figue. They know their bodies well and look good in Indian wear rather than revealing western clothes.
One actress who really looks beautiful in ethnic Indian wear is Vidya Balan. Her dressing sense received a lot of flake and she decided to go for a make-over.Vidya lost nearly 10 kgs and commented that at one point of time she was trying to be like others and this thought of hers backfired. She hired a new designer and realized that to show off her curves, she does not need to wear Western clothes only.
In fact, Indian clothes look very good on her and she has been sticking to salwars and saris in her films as well as in real life.
Another actress who has got a very Indian body is Konkona Sensharma. This talented actress looks beautiful in Indian wear and she is seen mostly in them ,whether in films or at events.
However, she also looks good in Indo-Western and in her recent films like ‘Wake up Sid ‘and ‘’Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge “, she was seen flaunting kurtis along with jeans. The look suited her well and she looked comfortable in them too.

Kajol has never been appreciated for her sense of style. This is probably because her acting prowess is so strong that no one bothers to look beyond that. In her earlier days, she was often a fashion disaster and used to wear clothes without giving too much importance to whether it suits her or not.

Of late, however, her sense of fashion has improved considerably and she is seen wearing clothes that give her body a new dimension and also accessories them in the proper way.

Style or no style, we love this fiery actress the way she is.

Even though she, in her latest film, appeared in a bikini top, we still think that Rani Mukherjii looks much better in Indian clothes. Since she is not very tall and is heavy at the waist, Indian wear successfully hides her bulges and instead highlights her attractive features.

Rani also received a lot of flak for her weight, but her brand new makeover in ‘Dil Bole Hadippa’was much appreciated. She flaunted her toned body unabashedly, but keeping in mind the fate of the film, we think it is better she gives more importance to her acting skills, rather than her figure.

Another relatively young actress who looks good in Indian wear is Prachi Desai. In fact, when she was doing a television serial, Prachi had to wear Indian clothes only keeping in mind the character she was playing. Her character was extremely popular and her sense of style was appreciated too.

In ‘Rock On’, and subsequent films, she was seen wearing Western wear, though not too revealing ones and our suggestion is that she should stick to the Indian and Indo-Western look.

Vidya Balan looking very Sexy and Bold in a film The Dirty Picture

Believe it or faint, news has it that Vidya Balan is all set to play the role of the sex bomb Silk Smitha in a film titled The Dirty Picture.
This film, however, will not have anything that will titillate the audience, rather it will give a peek to the loneliness and frustration of this South Indian actress who was notorious for her sexy and bold image.

Producer Ekta Kapoor is extremely excited about this project. She says that it is the story of a woman who broke all norms of the society and became super famous, but ultimately ended her life in a very tragic way. The film will highlight the loneliness and craving of a woman who became famous for all the wrong reasons.

News has it that director Milan Luthria has Vidya Balan in mind for playing this role of this doomed actress, but Milan comments that it is too early to reveal the lead. However,Milan is extremely impressed with the film and comments that it has every element that a good film is supposed to have.

Vidya, on the other hand, says that she has been approached for this film, but nothing has been finalised yet.

Vidya Balan-Rani Mukharji: Amazing film shoots on the Public area!

Vidya Balan and Rani Mukerjee had to shoot in old Delhi’s crowded areas for No One Killed Jessica. But how could that possibly happen without a mob surrounding them when Rani and Vidya are both such popular names?
Director of the film, Rajkumar Gupta, who earlier made the Rajeev Khandelwal starrer Aamir, wanted to shoot the film on real lanes with hidden cameras. He wanted to shoot Vidya and Rani as part of the crowd to give an authentic feel to the film.

He did the same thing with Rajeev while shooting for Aamir in Mumbai. The candid shots with hidden cameras give a better look to the scene. He hadn’t realized the security risk he was undertaking when he asked Rani and Vidya to do it the same way.

He wanted to shoot in jam-packed lanes where vans wouldn’t be able to reach and not usual areas like Chandni Chowk. But he was suddenly very unsure of his plan when they reached the location in a van. He reveals that he was only able to do the shoot only because they assured him. The two actresses got into the crowd and shot for a while until people began to recognize them. Before the problem got out of hand, they would rush into the van and then leave for another place in old Delhi.

Deepika, Priyanka, Vidya Balan, Rani: Modern Glamorous Indian Woman

As Indian society sheds its conservative garb to don a modern, new age avtar, the Bollywood actress is too undergoing a makeover.
Today she is no longer the shy, don’t touch me kind of woman who does not let go of any opportunity to shed the tears.

Now she is bold, brazen, independent and is not afraid to live life on her own terms. Deepika Padukone in the film’ Love Aj Kal’plays the role of a modern woman who has an affair with Saif Ali Khan and breaks up with him when work takes her to India and Saif has to stay back.

The break-up, unlike in other films was not a sad affair.Instead, they threw a party and celebrated their break-up.

She gets married to her boss in the later part of the film after dating him for one year, only to realize that her heart aches for Saif only.

In the film’Fashion’Priyanka Chopra, played the role of a sexy model who lives in with her boyfriend and is aggressive about her work. She even falls in love with a much married man in the later part of the film and even gets pregnant. She gets the baby aborted when she realizes that her work might get suffered if she decides to have the baby.

Later on she comes face to face with her first boyfriend only to realize that he has moved on and it is time for her to move on too.

She once again gets back to her life by walking at a ramp show and the film does not end in a conventional manner, showing her all happy by getting engaged to a man.

Instead, it shows her going to a foreign land all alone and confidently declaring that she has taken full advantage of the second chance that life has given her.

In Dostana, the heroine lives in without two men pretending to be gay and later walks off with a man whose wife had left him.

She is shown wearing modern dresses, partying at night, managing her career as well as taking time to get to know her boyfriend’s son previous marriage.

In the recent film’Ishqia’the lead character played by Vidya Balan is the story of a woman who lives in a village and wears only Indian clothes. She is shown displaying her boldness not through her clothes, but through her actions. She flirts with two men and enjoys it at the same time.

She is not afraid of taking revenge when she realizes that her husband wanted to kill her and later walks away with one of the men with whom she was flirting.

Even in the film Hum Tum, the lead characters have a one night stand. While Rani was showing being unapologetic about it, Saif, in a somewhat opposite manner was suffering from guilty pangs.

All these films show the typical Indian actress in a very different way and in a realistic manner. We see no purpose for complaining and are looking forward to watch modern portrayal  of Indian women.

Vidya Balan enjoys link up with actors

Filmfare awards winner Vidya Balan has been linked with almost all her co-stars, the most publicist being Shahid Kapoor. And if you think she is disturbed by those rumours, think again. The truth is that she enjoys reading her link up stories.
Vidya said that the stories of link ups do bothers her but sometimes appreciate well-written stories. She added that there was a time when she felt she was out of work if she wasn’t linked to her co-stars.
The Filmfare award winner however said that she hates reading Bollywood stories. She added that people end up believing gossip stories.

Katrina, Priyanka, Deepika, Vidya, Anushka in JKSAH

After getting Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar, Farah Khan, Sajid Khan, Amrita Rao and Boman Irani to make guest appearances in his film-about-films Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai writer-director Milap Zaveri feels the star line-up is just not strong enough.
With the help of producer Nikhil Advani, Milap has roped in some more A-listers at the last minute.
Glam queens Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Sharma and Vidya Balan will make cameo appearances in Milap's film and thereby add to the film's commercial value.
The cameos with these five ladies are expected to be shot next week, just 3 weeks ahead of the film's release creating a major last-minute pre-release situation.
Says Milap, "That's true. I'm roping in the names you've mentioned. Shooting at the last minute would be no problem because all of the star appearances are in the first reel, so I just have to re-edit the initial reel. Also, I've kept slates in the pre-final print announcing the various star cameos which I've filled up as and when they've been available." Milap is candid enough to admit his film has no big star value. "The only star is Riteish Deshmukh. Jacqueline Fernandez and Ruslaan Mumtaz will become stars after the film is released. Until they do, I need to get audiences into theatres. That's why we need to rope in more stars in cameos."

Besides his own clout in the industry as a long-standing and very successful writer-director, Milap Zaveri's producer Nikhil Advani is also using his good wishes to rope in the glam-queens to add a dash of allure to Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai.

Nikhil has apparently sent out messages to Deepika, Priyanka, Anushka, Vidya and Katrina who have all agreed. While Anushka will shoot her portion on the sets of Nikhil Advani's Patiala House, the other ladies will touch base next week and do the needful.

Says Milap, "Vidya would be slightly difficult since she's shooting in Delhi. But we'll manage." Milap is expected to fly down to Delhi to get Vidya's cameo in place.

Making a film about the film industry is not easy. The director is expected to rope in all the stars that can be crammed in the film. Luckily, for Milap Zaveri, he has a producer who can get his friends to do the needful.

Says Milap, "The stars making special appearances have been absolutely wonderful. Akshay Kumar insisted on seeing a part of the film before doing his cameo. Akshay speaks about Ruslaan Mumtaz's character in the camera. And do you know, Karan Johar actually agreed to be snubbed by Ruslaan Mumtaz! Ruslaan plays a superstar and in the film he refuses to take Karan's calls."

Farah Khan has a full-fledged role as a film director. But the biggest sport so far seems to be Boman Irani who shot for just the trailer of Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai.

Says Milap emotionally, "That's true. Boman is not in the film, only in the trailer. Everyone who has made an appearance in my film has been wonderful. I guess it comes from being around for so long."

Shahid's cross connection with Vidya!

The last time they were seen together was during Kismat Konnection. Shahid Kapoor and Vidya Balan were reportedly seeing each other during that phase, but some crossed connections and several misunderstandings later, they weren’t even on talking terms.

Much water has flowed under the bridge since. But when Vishal Bhardwaj happened to see some promos of Kaminey some days ago, he decided to send a congratulatory message to Shahid. The text he sent to Shahid read: ‘You’re looking damn good in Kaminey. I just saw you again. VB.”

Vishal, who messaged from his new number that Shahid didn’t have, hadn’t the slightest inkling he’d reopen a painful old wound. Shahid was stunned when he read the message because VB was the nickname he had given to Vidya Balan in happier days.

So convinced was he that it could only be Vidya, that instead of calling the number the message came from, he dialed her mobile number that was still saved on his phone. Now it was Vidya’s turn to be stunned when she saw Shahid’s number flashing.
They hadn’t spoken in months and Shahid had made every possible effort to make sure their paths didn’t cross after they decided to go their separate ways.

She took the call, not knowing how to react to the situation. Shahid apparently demanded to know why she was messaging him if she had liked the film and didn’t bother to call. Vidya, who had found her voice by now, told him that she certainly hadn’t sent him any message.

A perplexed Shahid didn’t know what to say. If he’s still wondering how that mix-up happened, we hope this will clear the mystery.

Happy Birthday Vidya Balan

It’s the start of a new year - a new decade according to many - and it’s also the birthday of the beautiful and elegant Vidya Balan - thirty-one years old today.

Kerala-born Vidya made a stunning debut in Parineeta and has since impressed in movies such.

As Lage Raho Munnabhai, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Guru, Kismat Konnection and most recently with the Bachchans in Paa.

How has Vidya been preparing for her birthday? “Spending a lot of quiet time, quality time with loved ones and focussing.

On the new year with renewed energy and positive thinking,” she says, “I’m thrilled at the response I got for Paa. It feels good and I’m raring to go at 2010.”

Vidya is looking forward to the release of Ishqiya in which she takes on a more brazen country-girl image.

The film also stars Naseruddin Shah and Arshad Warsi and has already raised expectations after a few run-ins with the censor.

Vidya is full of praise for her co-star Arshad in the movie. "Arshad is a brilliant actor,” she states, “I feel he is underutilised in our cinema. He is wonderful and I share a great camaraderie with him. He is really yet to get his due." In addition, she will soon start work on No One Killed Jessica, the story of the Jessica Lal murder and its aftermath.

Vidya to play feisty Sabrina in movie on Jessica

Vidya Balan is set to experience a dash of reality. The actress is all set to play Sabrina Lall's character in director Rajkumar Gupta's next film, No One Killed Jessica. The UTV production is based on model Jessica Lall's murder.

"Vidya has been finalised because she fits the role perfectly. But I don't want to talk much about the casting as it leads to speculation. Right now, I can only confirm Vidya's presence but without going into the details," Gupta said.

Sabrina, on her part, is confident that Vidya will do a great job. In fact, she has already met Gupta to discuss the film and "found him to be a nice guy". Also, Sabrina is quite assured about the right interpretation of Jessica's case.

"Vidya is a beautiful girl and I have faith in the makers. People are generally worried about how Hindi films will portray real incidents but I am fine. Gupta and me discussed the film and Jessica's life for several days," Sabrina said.

Gupta will start shooting next February. The Aamir director feels after finalising Vidya, it will be easier for him to cast others. "I will announce the other actors soon. We're working on it," he said.

In the meantime, the Ishqiya girl is getting ready for her first "biographical role". Reportedly, she wanted to play Sabrina the minute she heard about the role and takes it as a challenge. She also plans to meet Sabrina shortly.Jessica's sister said she is yet to get a call from the Paa actress, though.Since Jessica's murder, Sabrina had fought to get her killers punished.

Gupta's film is "not completely based on Jessica's case", she said.Vidya apart, No One Killed Jessica has been making a lot of news over its star cast. Initially, Kareena was approached to play the slain model but she reportedly turned down the role, stating that she "couldn't connect with the character". She has reportedly said she "can't do a bit part in an offbeat flick just to prove that she can act". A few days ago, Rani Mukerji's name started doing the rounds for Gupta's film. It was suggested that Rani will play a fiery journalist. Sources said UTV was negotiating with her on her fees.

Gupta made the critically acclaimed Aamir last year. He has been working on his next film for a long time. He said his movie was not about just Jessica's murder. "It is not a documentary, it is fiction," he added.

"I was struck by the headline of a newspaper, No One Killed Jessica after all the accused in the Jessica murder case were acquitted by a court judgement," he said.Jessica Lall was shot at a bar in Delhi in 1999.

Vidya's one of the boys

Vidya Balan is glowing with the compliments pouring in for her superlative performance in R Balki’s Paa.

She may be a foot shorter than both her Bachchan co-stars, but when it came to the histrionics, she matched Amitabh and Abhishek perfectly.

Now she’s channelising her energies into Ketan Maroo’s Ishqiya where once again she is it pitted with two versatile talents  Naseeruddin Shah and Arshad Warsi.

Talking about her sensuous role in this robust, earthy, love triangle, the diminutive actress says, “I play a village belle.

Yet I’m fully aware of my sexual charms and within the four walls of the bedroom, I’m unapologetic about using my guile and charm.

Vidya says quality work like Paa and now Ishqiya has made her realise that if she is patient, the right roles are bound to come her way.

“Once again I have as many advantages as I had when I did Parineeta,’’ says the actress. “My filmmakers have realised that given an opportunity, I will not let them down.’’

The coming year is an important year for Vidya. She starts the year with Ishqiya and then moves onto Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Chenab Gandhi. “The decision to do fewer films is entirely mine,’’ says the actress who is now super-confident that when it comes to her career, she will not make one false move.

On the personal front, it is rumoured that almost all her heroes be it John Abraham (Salaam-e-Ishq), Shahid Kapoor (Kismat Konnection) and now Arshad Warsi (Ishqiya) are attracted to her. “Rubbish,’’ she flails her hands and says.

“In fact, I think none of my heroes even treat me like a lady. I’m treated like one of the boys. My heroes back-slap me and we share a few laughs and jokes. However, I don’t think any of them is attracted to me. If they were, I would have noticed.’’

Well, well...so even as the rumour mills continue to buzz about Vidya past romances with John and Shahid, the actress herself has rubbed her slate clean... and is looking forward to her knight in shining armour putting in an appearance in 2010. What should one say — Halleluah!

VIDYA BALAN OOZES SENSUALITY

‘Paa’s heroine Vidya Balan says she will soon be seen in a completely different avatar in Vishal Bharadwaj`s forthcoming movie ‘Ishqiya’. In her upcoming dark drama, she plays a conniving, scheming woman.

While interacting with the media the otherwise innocent looking actress said that in this movie she is someone who is unapologetic about her own choices.

In the film, Vidya sports a de-glamorized look and mouths expletives. She terms her character as that of India’s Rambha, Durga or Kali.

She is someone who is dressed from top to toe but oozes sensuality, she adds. Earlier, we have seen her in films like ‘Parineeta’, ‘Heyy Babyy’, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ and ‘Kismat Konnection’.

Set in eastern Uttar Pradesh, ‘Ishqiya’ is a tale of romance between individuals caught in a web of crime, suspense, passion and deceit.
Made by first time director Abhishek Chaubey and produced by Bharadwaj, the film also stars Arshad Warsi and Naseeruddin Shah in pivotal roles.

The actress is a big fan of Bhardwaj who is known for credibility and thus owns a brand. On the other hand, Vidya plays Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter in Sanjay Leela Bhansali`s ‘Chenaab Gandhi’. What a complete reversal of role from that of Amitabh’s mother in ‘Paa’ to his daughter in ‘Chenab Gandhi’! Regarding the role reversal, she says that it’s not a conscious decision. “ It`s just that I`m offered a lot of exciting work and I`ve tried to pick and choose different things to keep it very exciting for me.”

Regarding the role reversal, she says that it’s not a conscious decision. “ It`s just that I`m offered a lot of exciting work and I`ve tried to pick and choose different things to keep it very exciting for me.”

After Vidya, Priyanka spotted wearing Amrita's outfit!

Just after news hit that Vidya Balan was spotted wearing saree similar to the one Aishwarya wore when she appeared on Oprah Winfrey show with hubby Abhihek, it’s now Priyanka Chopra who was marked wearing the same dress that Amrita Rao had wore some days back. Folks, the Bollywood funda is difficult to understand. Who wears whose what… just leave us clueless.
Vidya Balan got herself into trouble when she was spotted wearing similar saree to that of Ash’s at the premier of her new movie ‘Paa’. But we can hope that the actress would have learnt to deal with such situations as this was not the first time when her outfit has hit the news.

But this time former beauty queen Priyanka Chopra was noticed wearing a dress to a swish party held on Friday, which Amrita Rao had worn on national television ten days ago.

And interestingly, she received many compliments for her outfit but didn’t have the slightest idea that the dress had been worn by Amrita even. Moreover, fashion designer Swapnil Shinde had provided the outfits to both the actresses.

Swapnil confirmed the news saying, “Woh Priyanka wala outfit mera diya hua tha. She was very happy with it. Her stylist called me up from the party and said that Priyanka was getting a lot of compliments for that outfit.”

When asked about Amrita wearing the same outfit, Swapnil says, “I didn’t even consider whether it will work for Priyanka since Amrita has worn it on a television show. Television shows and events are two different ball games.”

But the designer bluntly denied that both the actresses were wearing the same outfit. Instead he claims, “I have three four dresses of that same design.”

Though Priyanka was not available for the comment Amrita says, “Well, I guess Priyanka wasn’t aware I had worn the very same outfit on the show. Or probably she really liked the outfit so much that it didn’t bother her much whether it was exclusive or not.

Priyanka looks like a diva whatever she wears.”Well folks, you can decide by yourself looking at the image if Priyanka was wearing the same outfit.
