Deepika Padukone: As cool as a cucumber!

What is it that sets Deepika Padukone apart from others in tinsel town? Perhaps the fact that she has the grit and the guts to handle personal questions with as much cool and calm as possible is what marks her as one of  the most confident actresses of these times. It seems that many a times at many a conferences she is asked about her tattoo and she always manages to give evasive answers with a smile on her pretty face.
Recently, she was very much in control of her self when someone asked her about her RK tattoo and she again answered with a cool mind that the tattoo was hers and she really loved it and there was no reason for anyone to be bothered about it.
Now this was really very smart of Deepika as she managed to get away from the embarrassing question with as much style and camouflage as possible.
Deepika Padukone has always projected herself as a dignified and cool person and her way of dodging questions is indeed a very positive trait that very few people are blessed with. The actress is a very dedicated person too and right from her debut film ‘Om Shanti Om’ she has proved that her acting abilities can speak volumes about her rather than her words.

Her ‘Love Aaj Kal’ performance was also worthy of appreciation and her latest film ‘Karthik Calling Karthik’ has also got her role as the Bengali lass Shonali working in the office of a construction company very good reviews. This young lady has a very long and successful career ahead partly owing to her Miss cool as a cucumber attitude. Well done Deepika that the way to go!

Katrina Kaif: The Misjudged Miss of bollywood!

The latest gossip amongst tongue wagers in bollywood is that actress Katrina Kaif was to do the item number in the film’Houseful’ directed by Sajid Khan.
The song was a re mix of the original song ‘Aapni Toh Jaise Taise’ from the Amitabh Bachchan starrer ‘Laawaris’.The song was liked and appreciated by Katrina when she heard it and she was keen on performing on it.
However when the actresses of the film namely Lara Dutta and Deepika Padukone heard about it they raised a hue and cry over it saying that they would not be too happy ifKatrina was going to perform on the song. Even Katrina had a mental block as she was not too keen on performing in the same film where Deepika was a part as the two actresses are not the best of pals to say the least.
So going by the entire yes and no tunes of the various heroines, it was finally decided to take someone else for the dance number.

Now reports are that the song has been picturized on the new actress Jacqueline Fernandez the beautiful actress who had debuted in theAmitabh Bachchan and Retiesh Deshmukh starrer film ‘Aladdin’ recently. Reports are that she has done a commendable job in the film and looks absolutely stunning too. Well all we can say is one woman’s loss is another woman’s gain. That’s the way it always was and still is!

Zarine Khan is following Salman Khan

The actress Zarine Khan created waves with her debut along with Salman Khan in Veer, though the movie didn't do wonders for her as she is now back to square one.
Nowadays, Zarine Khan is busy attending fashion shows and other events, but in spite of hectic schedule, the girl takes out time every night post work to make sure her make-up man, spot boy and driver have dinner at her house.
Reveals a source close to the actress, "Though Zarine is a star now, success has never got to her head. She is still very grounded and considerate of her spot boy, make up person, driver and those people she interacts with on a day-to-day basis. In fact she insists on them having dinner with her and only then does she allow them to leave."

Aamir Khan Missed But His Film '3 Idiots' Clinched Six Honors

As the grand day’s veil dropped, everybody’s eyes were ticking on the 55th Filmfare Awards as to who all will emerge as the winner of the prestigious award. Stream of dazzling performances from various participants including the film personalities kept engaging the audience at the Yash Raj Studios on Feb 27.
Some years back, noted Shah Rukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan took the centre stage as the host of the event to woo the crowds.
This year again the successful duo returned with rather a powerful comical impact that left the audience gripped in laughter and joy.
But the event was marred by Big B’s absence who voluntarily choose to miss the occassion as a sign of protest against the false news about his dearest daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai’s pregnancy.

In this year’s filmfare event though the Best Actor went for the veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan but most of the crowd’s hearts vied for Aamir Khan who did an outstanding work in ‘3 Idiots’ for which he had received international recognition.

But the best news is that though Aamir could not bag the best actor award but his film ‘3 Idiots’ had the highest trophies in its stride which went in for various categories like Best Film, Rajkumar Hirani as the Best Director, Abhijat Joshi for the Best Story, Boman Irani as the Best Supporting Actor, Best Screenplay Award and Best Dialogue for Rajkumar Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra.

May be better luck next time for Aamir as he has good many chances to outshine from his competitors.

Furious Bachchans give Filmfare awards the skip

The Bachchans are still furious at the tabloid story surrounding Aishwarya Rai's pregnancy.
Bollywood's first family kept away from the 55th Filmfare Awards on Saturday evening, sticking to their threat of boycott. Aishwarya Rai, who was supposed to perform at the event, also decided to pull out.
Stay off Aishwarya Rai, say angry Bachchans
The family is angry that the Mumbai Mirror, which published the article, still hasn't formally apologised for the story, which claimed Aishwarya was suffering from stomach tuberculosis, leading to an inability to conceive - a news branded as “completely false” by father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan.

The Mumbai Mirror and Filmfare both belong to the Times Group.

Big B demands apology for 'violation of journalistic norms'

Meanwhile, actress Vidya Balan collected the Big B’s Filmfare award on his behalf on Saturday evening. The actress shared top acting honours with Bachchan, following the duo's performance in Balki's Paa. Vidya won Best Actor in a Leading Role (female) and Amitabh Bachchan roped in Best Actor in a Leading Role (Male).
