Sushmita Sen's much hyped 130 crore project Rani Laxmibai has been shelved, according to reports. A television serial came in the ways of Sush's dream directorial venture which is based on the same theme. A source from the industry informs that everything for the film including the script, locations, horses and budget had been finalised before Sushmita came to know that a television channel has picked up the idea and has already started working on it.
"The investors obviously weren’t too happy about this as the serial would be on air before the film’s release. They then backtracked and the project is now shelved. The hired staff has been asked to leave too," added the source.
Sushmita is compelled to put the project on hold till new investors come into picture.
