Aishwarya Rai: Bad News For Aish's Die-Hard Fans!

Bollywood has been ruled by the Miss World 1994 Aishwarya Rai for the last so many years and it is the deadly combination of her unearthly beauty and strong acting mettle that has brought the throne to her feet. But, how long will she work as a full time actress.

This article may bring some tears in the die-hard fans of Aishwarya, but it’s an undeniable fact that all good things ultimately come to an end. The points that are stacked against her continuity are:

1. Aishwarya is in her 37th year and is ageing. Though, her ethereal charm refuses to die but this cruel showbiz world often shuts the door on its children once they are past their prime. Plus, with the new age breed of actresses thronging the B-town villa, there may not be any room for her, say, after 2-3 years.

2. More importantly, Aishwarya is now a married woman and Bollywood has always been harsh to women who have tied the knot. As is the Indian tradition, a married woman is supposed to look after the domestic chores and though, Aishwarya’s in-laws are liberal enough to permit her to carry on with her films, once, she gives birth to a child, she would withdraw herself into a life that will be devoted more towards her motherly responsibilities than her career-goals.

But, fans can take heart from the fact, that instead of disappearing completely from the alleys of Bollywood a la Madhuri Dixit, she would be seen (though not as frequently) from time to time in films whenever the celluloid charm beckons and whenever she finds time a la Kajol.
