Accolades continue to be showered on Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra as the duo were named as Best Actor and Actress respectively for their performances.
In Jodha Akbar and Fashion at the 4th Apsara Film and Television Producers Guild awards 2008 held here.
Actor-filmmaker Aamir Khan was adjudged the best director for Taare Zameen Par, with the movie also being named as the best film of 2008.
British actor Ben Kingsley was the star attraction at the awards ceremony held at a surburban hotel here on Friday.
The awards ceremony could not take place last year due to the 26/11 terror attacks. Other winners included:
Anil Kapoor (Best Performance in a Comic Role in Welcome), Akshaye Khanna (Best Performance in a Negative Role in Race), Kangana Ranaut (Best Actress in a Supporting Role in Fashion) and Jimmy Shergill (Best Actor in a Supporting Role in A Wednesday). Newcomers Imran Khan and Mugdha Godse bagged the best debutante awards for Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na and Fashion respectively. Besides, winners in others categories included:
Best Choreographer - Chinni Prakash, Rekha Prakash (Jodha Akbar),
Best Lyrics - Prasoon Joshi ('Maa'..., Taare Zameen Par),
Best Female Singer - Shreya Ghoshal ('Teri Ore'..., Singh is Kingg),
Best Male Singer - Shankar Mahadaven ('Maa'... Taare Zameen Par),
Music - AR Rahman (Jodha Akbar).
Best Screenplay - Amole Gupte (Taare Zameen Par) and Neeraj Pandey (A Wednesday),
Dialogues - Neeraj Pandey (A Wednesday),
Story - Amole Gupte (Taare Zameen Par),
Editing - Shree Narayan Singh (A Wednesday),
Special effects - Vaibhav Kumaresh and Dhimant Vyas (Taare Zameen Par)
Sound Recording - Baylon Fonseca (Rock On!!).
Jodha Akbar also bagged awards for Best Re-Recording, Cinematography, Art Direction and costume design.
